The Sessions court on Wednesday acquitted realtor Govardhan Murthy and six others in a four year old murder case. The Sampigehalli police had arrested Murthy in October, 2008 from his Kerala hideout. A realtor and land developer, Govardhan Murthy had fled city after Vinod Kumar, a budding actor, was shot dead inside his farmhouse in Bagalur. The defense advocate said that evidences produced by police and public prosecutor were weak. "They said Vinod made dying declaration in a hospital around two am. We made it clear to the court that Vinod had already lost more than two liters of blood and no one in that position would make any statement," argued the defense advocate.
