Not a single Telugu film will be screened at the 43rd International Film Festival of India, 2012 beginning in Goa from November 19. That means the Telugu film industry will go unrepresented at the centenary celebrations of Indian cinema. In further embarrassment to Tollywood, regional films in Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil have found a place in the all-important Indian Panorama section where the best of the country's films will be showcased to the international audience. While movies in Assamese, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Byari, Hindi/Marathi, Hindi/English, Konkani and Punjabi have met the criteria but none from Telugu have made the cut.
