ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വെള്ളിത്തിരയുടെ 'ബിഗ് ബി' അമിതാഭ് ബച്ചന്‍ സിനിമയിലെത്തും മുന്‍പ് കൊല്‍ക്കത്തിയിലെ ബേര്‍ഡ് ആന്റ് കോ എന്ന കമ്പനിയുടെ എക്‌സിക്യുട്ടിവായിരുന്നു. മാസം 500 രൂപയായിരുന്നു അക്കാലത്തെ അദ്ധേഹത്തിന്റെ ശമ്പളം. അതില്‍തന്നെ ടാക്‌സും പിഎഫും കിഴിച്ച ശേഷമം 460 രൂപയായിരുന്നു അദ്ധേഹത്തിനു ലഭിച്ചത്.

ബോളിവുഡിന്റെ കിംഗ് ഖാന്‍ ഷാരൂഖിന്റെ ആദ്യ വരുമാനം വെറും 50രൂപയായിരുന്നു. ഡല്‍ഹിയിലെ പങ്കജ്  ഉധാസ് കണ്‍സേര്‍ട്ടിലെ വളണ്ടിയറായിരുന്നു അദ്യകാലത്ത് ഷാരൂഖ്.

സിനിമയിലെത്തും മുന്‍പ് ബാങ്കോക്കില്‍ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു മെട്രോ ഗസ്റ്റ് ഹൗസില്‍ ഷെഫായിരുന്നു അക്ഷയ് കുമാര്‍. അക്കാലത്ത് വെറും 1000 രൂപയായിരുന്നു താരത്തിന് ലഭിച്ചിരുന്ന ശമ്പളം.  

ബോളിവുഡിന്റെ സൂപ്പര്‍താരം ജോണ്‍ എബ്രഹാമിന്റെ ആദ്യ ശമ്പളം 11,800 രൂപയായിരുന്നു. പാതി മലയാളികൂടിയായ ജോണ്‍ ബാങ്ക് ഓഫ് മഹാരാഷ്ട്രയില്‍ ഈ പണം നിക്ഷേപിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു അക്കാലത്ത് ചെയ്തത്.
