ఫ్లాప్ తో....సినీ నిర్మాత ఆత్మహత్యాయత్నం

చెన్నై : అప్పుల భాధం భరించలేక...సినీ నిర్మాత విషం తాగి ఆత్మహత్యకు యత్నించాడు. పట్టిణంబాక్కం పోలీసులు తెలిపిన వివరాల మేరకు.. నగరానికి చెందిన జయచంద్రన్‌(45) ఊమై విళిగల్‌, ఉలవన్‌ మగన్‌, కెప్టెన్‌ తదితర చిత్రాలకు ఎడిటర్‌గా పనిచేశాడు. ఇటీవల నిర్మాతగా నాలుగు సినిమాలు డిజాస్టర్ అవ్వటంతో ఇలా సూసైడ్ కు ప్రయత్నించాడు.

అతను ..మనిద ధర్మం, తంగపాప్పా తదితర నాలుగు చిన్న చిత్రాలను నిర్మించారు. ఇవి ఆశించిన విజయం సాధించకపోవటంతో నష్టాలు వచ్చాయి. అప్పులిచ్చిన వారి ఒత్తిడి పెరిగింది. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో రాత్రి తన ఇంట్లోనే విషం తాగి ఆత్మహత్యకు యత్నించాడు. అపస్మారక స్థితిలో ఉన్న అతణ్నిరాయపేట ప్రభుత్వాసుపత్రికి తరలించారు. బాధితుడి భార్య దేవి ఫిర్యాదు మేరకు పోలీసులు కేసు దర్యాప్తు చేస్తున్నారు.

జయచంద్రన్ దాదాపు వంద సినిమాలు వరకూ ఎడిట్ చేసారు. ఆయనకి ఐదు సార్లు బెస్ట్ ఎడిటర్ గా స్టేట్ అవార్డులు వచ్చాయి. అయితే ఆయన తన స్నేహితులు ప్రోద్బలంతో సినీ నిర్మాణంలోకి దిగారు. కానీ ఆ సినిమాలు నాలుగూ భాక్సాఫీస్ వద్ద ఫెయిల్యూర్ అవటంతో అప్పులిచ్చిన ఫైనాన్సియర్స్ విపరీతమైన ఒత్తిడి తెచ్చారు.

He was rushed to Government Royapettah Hospital where his condition was said to be critical. Mylapore police registered a case and was investigating. According to sources, the noted editor who has worked in over 100 Tamil films was said to be upset due to heavy debts. Jayachandran has worked as editor in films like Uzhavan Magan, Captain Prabhakaran and Oomai Vizhigal. He has won state award for best editor for five times. He entered into film production and made films like Manidha Dharam, Indha Padai Pothuma and Thanga Pappa. But all the movies failed to do business at the box office and he was said to be under mounting debt.
